Why I Deserve to Be Paid for Free Healing Content (And Why That Triggered You)

This is a comment I received on one of my free healing meditations on YouTube…

“This isn’t healing. You are about to profit to put ads in the middle. Shame on you.”

Really, shame on me?

Normally, I don’t give energy to this kind of thing. But today, I’m choosing to speak on it—not just for myself—but for all the heart-led creators out there who pour soul, time and intention into healing content that’s freely given, and still get criticized for simply existing in abundance.

It’s time to heal poverty consciousness.

First, I need to make this abundantly clear:

I do not place ads in the middle of my meditations. That is YouTube. They own the platform; therefore, there is absolutely nothing I can do about ads interrupting your listening experience. If you do not want ads, you can pay YouTube a monthly fee to have them removed. I will state again … I do NOT place ads in the middle of my meditations.

And even if I did decide to allow mid-roll ads on my content, I’d still be well within my right. Why? Because what I create is powerful, transformative and energetically rich—and yes, it takes a lot of time, energy and intention to make….for YOU.

You see… what you’re listening to for free?

That meditation might have taken 12–40 hours (or more) of my time to create. Time away from living my life. It’s not just about writing a script. It’s about channeling healing energies, encoding energy, choosing sound, recording with presence, editing with care and uploading with intention…not to mention the thumbnails, descriptions, metadata and soooo much more.

I don’t just make meditations—I infuse them with medicine.

Every word. Every pause. Every musical note. Every visualization.
Encoded with soul medicine, soul light, healing transmissions and intention.

What you receive isn’t just a guided audio—it’s a spiritual offering that takes hours upon hours of my time to create.

But let’s talk about the real core of this post: Energetic Reciprocity.

We live in a universe governed by flow. Giving and receiving. Inhale and exhale. Sunrise and sunset. There is a divine balance that sustains all things—including healing.

When you take from the well and refuse to give back, that’s not spirituality. That’s entitlement.

When someone accuses a creator—who is offering their light, their work, their heart for free—of “profiting” and tries to shame them for being compensated and publicly to boot?

That’s not spiritual integrity—that’s your unhealed pain masked as moral high ground.

Let’s get this straight, no healer owes anyone free content. And yet, here I am—along with so many others—offering thousands of hours of healing, love and frequency to the world because I genuinely want to help. I want to be of service.

And yes, I also deserve to be supported.

I deserve to receive. I deserve to rest. I deserve to build a sustainable life that allows me to keep showing up and serving with more. Because martyrdom is not the path to impact—sovereignty is.

If receiving healing content for free triggers you because there might be ads or because the creator accepts donations or sells offerings (which by the way, I definitely do) then I lovingly suggest that what’s really activating you is your own relationship with receiving. And most likely your own unhealed beliefs around money and your worthiness to receive it.

Because here’s the truth:
This meditation was freely given to you.
And your response was to shame the hand that offered it.

And that, is exactly the wound we need to heal.

What is “the wound” we’re talking about?

It’s the deep energetic and emotional wound of lack, unworthiness, entitlement and disconnection from the sacred balance of love and reciprocity.

It’s the part of someone that unconsciously believes:

  • Healing should be free—without acknowledging the energy it takes to create it.
  • Spiritual service should come with sacrifice—even if it depletes the person offering it.
  • Receiving is selfish, optional, or unholy.
  • You shouldn’t be compensated for doing sacred work.

It’s the inner programming that gets triggered when someone sees a healer thriving… because deep down, they don’t believe they’re allowed to. It’s whatever programming they have that needs to be worked on.

They might never say these words out loud, but the energy sounds like this:

“Spiritual people shouldn’t make money.”
“I’ve been unsupported for years—why should you be supported?”
“You must give without ever receiving to be worthy.”
“Other people can be held… but I can’t.”

And most revealing of all:

“If your light shines, it reminds me that I’m still in the dark.”

These thoughts don’t make someone a bad person.
They simply point to the very pain we’re here to transmute.
Because these beliefs—while often unspoken—are symptoms of spiritual distortion, generational scarcity, childhood wounds and the severed connection to Divine flow.

So how can we heal this?

By showing up in our fullness.
By modeling healthy energetic exchange.
By holding the frequency of: “Yes, I give—but I also deserve to receive.”
By continuing to serve from overflow, not depletion.
By refusing to abandon ourselves when we’re criticized.
By calling out distorted beliefs with love and truth.
By being willing to be mirrors—even if that mirror triggers discomfort.

The “we” here? It’s all of us doing the deep, holy work of remembering that we are meant to be supported, abundant, sovereign and spiritually whole.

And that comment?
It’s proof of the wound.

This blog?
It’s the healing.

And the fact that you’re here reading, reflecting, opening…
That’s part of the medicine.

And that, beautiful soul, is exactly the wound we are here to heal.

This is the very heart of the disconnection so many of us are transmuting—me, you, all of us who came here to dismantle the illusion of scarcity and rise into sacred sovereignty.

We’re healing the belief that:

  • Money and spirituality can’t coexist.
  • Receiving makes you selfish.
  • You must suffer to serve.

We’re rewriting the old program that says support, abundance or compensation is “wrong”… when the truth is…
it’s sacred. It’s natural. It’s how the Universe breathes through us.

So yes—I give from love.
And yes—I receive from love.
And yes—both are holy.

This blog—sparked by a comment on a freely given meditation—was written to lovingly illuminate and liberate these exact distortions.

So if this stirred something inside you…
Maybe that’s the invitation.
Maybe that discomfort is the activation.
Maybe what you’re feeling isn’t shame—it’s your soul calling you home to a deeper truth.

Because healing doesn’t always feel good at first.

Sometimes it looks like a mirror.
Sometimes it looks like a boundary.
Sometimes it looks like a blog post that lovingly breaks the spell.

And that… is the medicine.

Because we are no longer here to uphold the illusion of poverty consciousness.

We are living in a new time. A new era.
A Golden Age where abundance is the frequency—not the exception.

And poverty consciousness?
It is a dis-ease of the mind.
An energetic infection passed down through generations.
A distortion that tells us we’re only worthy when we’re empty.
That spiritual integrity means struggle.
That thriving somehow makes us less pure.

But the truth is: that’s a lie.

And we came here to break it.

We are here to heal the lack.
To unravel the guilt.
To no longer bow to shame.

We are worthy of every desire we have ever dreamed about.
We are worthy of support.
We are worthy of rest.
We are worthy of massive wealth and soft mornings.
We are worthy of being held, loved and yes, even paid for the light we bring into this world.

Abundance is not a reward.
It is your birthright.

And no one—no one—has the right to shame you for claiming it.

So if you’ve been made to feel guilty for thriving…
If you’ve been told that your healing, your gifts, or your presence must be free to be real…
If you’ve questioned whether you’re “too much” for wanting to be paid, seen, supported and sovereign?

Let this be your sacred permission slip:
You don’t have to apologize for being abundant.
You don’t have to explain your worth.
You don’t have to shrink for someone else’s comfort.

You came here to rise.
To heal through overflow.
To lead from wholeness.
To receive as deeply as you give.

Because this—this—is what the new earth looks like.

Reflect + Reclaim: Journal Prompts for Healing Your Relationship with Receiving

Healing work isn’t just about releasing pain—it’s about reclaiming truth.
And one of the deepest truths we are here to remember is this:

You are worthy of being supported. Fully. Abundantly. Without guilt.

But for many of us—especially empaths, lightworkers and heart-led creators—there’s a quiet struggle beneath the surface when it comes to receiving. Whether it’s support, money, gratitude or even rest… old conditioning often whispers, “You have to earn it. You have to work hard. You have to suffer for it. You’re asking for too much.”

These journal prompts were created to help you gently unearth those beliefs, bring them into the light and lovingly rewrite the stories that no longer serve your expansion.

Take your time with each one. Let your pen be honest. Let your heart lead the way.

These reflections aren’t just questions—they’re doorways back to your worthiness.

  1. Where in my life have I struggled to receive support, appreciation or compensation—and what beliefs might be living beneath that resistance?
  2. How do I truly feel when I see someone thriving or being supported for sharing their gifts? What does that reaction reveal about my own self-worth?
  3. What would it look like for me to honor both my giving nature and my need to be nourished in return? What boundaries or practices could I put in place to create that balance?
